Allenby Commercial acquisition opens up opportunities at Priory Park

Garness Jones is to embark on marketing the opportunities at one of the region’s premier business locations after the last available plot of land was acquired by a leading, Hull-based development company.

The acquisition of the 6.45-acre site at Priory Park East by Venture Business Parks, trading as Allenby Commercial, will present opportunities from 5,000 square feet to 50,000 square feet at The Point – the latest addition to a site which was launched 28 years ago and now extends across 150 acres.

Dale Gooderham, Senior Agency Surveyor at Garness Jones, said: “Over the years Priory Park has attracted an array of high calibre businesses in a wide range of sectors because of the quality of its location, and we look forward to working with Allenby Commercial on this final part of the jigsaw. “We have been closely involved in the development and marketing of the site for many years, notably when we helped Henry Boot Developments launch phase two of the project with a hugely successful business event in 2013.

“That kick-started a wave of investment with the arrival of Indivior and further expansion by Arco to add to the presence of the Village Hotel – where we held the event – various motor dealerships and professional firms and we are delighted to be involved in promoting an opportunity which is already attracting interest.

Andrew Allenby, Managing Director of Allenby Commercial, said the start date for work on the site will be influenced by the progress of discussions with parties who have already shown interest.

He added that Allenby Commercial is prepared to take the flexible approach already adopted at its other sites in the region in terms of size and configuration of the available space.

Dale added: “We have worked with Allenby Commercial on a number of projects and The Point carries their hallmark of high-quality business accommodation for use as trade counter space or industrial units, with large yard areas and car parking.

“The location is one of the site’s main attributes, close to the A63 and the main road networks to major UK cities. Enterprise Zone status adds to the pulling power, with the potential for up to five years free of business rates.
